And here are the rest of the fights for Cage Rage 26
Henrique Noguiera vs. Marc Goddard- A few years ago Henrique subbed Goddard with a guillotine 3 minutes into the first round. There is no reason that won't happen again, look for a first round submission by Noguiera.
James Zikic vs. Rodney Faverus- James Zikic is probably one of the better fighters in Cage Rage. He recently lost to Vitor Belfort, but before that beat Evangelista "Cyborg" Santos in a very exciting fight. Rodney Faverus, like many dutch fighters, is a bit of a wild card. His 24-15-3 record is not particularly stellar, but he holds quality wins over Cheick Kongo, Joe Riggs, Cyrille Diabate, and Melvin Manhoef. His standup is very good, and as Zikic does not possess much of a ground game, I except Faverus to get back on the winning track with a very convincing decision.
Mark Epstein vs. Matt Ewin - Mark Epstein is a typical English brawler, he really does not possess great skills. His ground game is very weak, and as Matt Ewin holds 11 of his 19 wins by submission, I expect Ewin to submit Epstein, probably in the first round.
Ross Mason vs. Ross Pointon- Honestly, this is a fight between two lousy fighters. Ross Mason's 12-8 records is slightly better than Ross Pointon's abismal 5-10 record. Although both fighters aren't very good, this could produce an entertaining fight. I say Ross Mason takes a decision after a sloppy but entertaining slugfest.
Main Event:
Ian Freeman vs. Paul Cahoon- British slugger and UFC veteran Ian "the Machine" Freeman returns to action after a 2 year hiatus. He takes on on a brawler, Paul Cahoon, who recently knocked out Elvis Sinosic in quick and orderly fashion. Ian Freeman will win this fight, although hes 41 years old he still has enough fight left in him to knockout Cahoon in the first round after a very quick but entertaining slug fest.
Thats all for Cage Rage, I don't think its on TV, it may be on the Proelite website, if not just wait a day or two and watch the fights online. I'll have breakdowns for the dream card up tomorrow.
